There are many things that distinguish PTE from its close competitors – IELTS and TOEFL. The full form of PTE is Pearson Test of English. How to register for PTE : PTE Exam Pattern
PTE Syllabus includes three sections - Speaking & Writing, Reading, and Listening. You get marked on these three sections and you get the PTE total score as well. The total score is the sum of the scores in the three sections.

Scoring in PTE
PTE Academic is scored on a scale of 10 – 90 where 10 is lowest, with increments of 1 point. Graded on the scale, the score showcase the person’s ability to read, speak, understand verbal instructions and write the English language. The scores are presented in a graph, giving an easy understanding of the candidate’s core skills in the language as well as improvement areas.

PTE Dates
The exam is conducted throughout the year at the designated Test Centers across the country. These dates might vary from center to center. Students must search for the seats available on the Pearson PTE website. Simply select the test centers closest to you, and click next. The website would prompt you to the calendar with the available dates.

How to Register For PTE
Here is all you need to know about registering for the PTE exam.

Steps to register -

  1. Go to the official PTE website and click ‘Create your account’
  2. Enter your personal details as they appear on your Passport
  3. Once you have completed the online registration process, you will receive an email within two days informing you of your login details.
  4. Once you have your login details visit PTEwebsite. Click on ‘Sign in’ and enter login details. Then click on ‘Schedule Exam’.
  5. Select your desired test center according to your location.
  6. Next, select suitable available date and time.
  7. After confirming your location, date and time, you will be asked few questions.
  8. Next, make full payment to finalize your booking.
  9. on the completion of your booking, you will receive an email containing details of test center location, how to get there and important points to remember on the test day.

In order to take the PTE academic test, you must be at least 16 years old. If you are 16 or 17 years old, you get a parental consent form signed by either parents or guardian before taking the test.

Test Schedule
There are no fixed dates for the PTE academic test, as the test is available throughout the year.

The IELTS India exam is conducted and offered on demand round the year at the following test centers in India: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jalandhar, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patiala, Pune, Rajkot, and Vijayawada.

National Test Dates
National test dates are for the United States, United States territories, and Puerto Rico. If you have missed the late registration deadline for a test date, you may be able to request standby testing. All requests for accommodations and English Learner supports, including appeals, must be submitted by the late registration deadline through the Test Accessibility and Accommodations (TAA) system. Accommodations and English learner supports are not available for standby testing.
